ABOUT MONIQUE

Monique Michaels is a the owner and creator of Intention Juice, as well as a Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation Instructor, a Yoga Therapist, Nutrition and Lifestyle Mentor, and Auyrveda Wellness Counselor.

She has over 2500+ hours of professional training and certifications. She completed the 200-hour TT and 300-hour professional program at Yoga Works, in Los Angeles, CA and has mentored with Natasha Rizopoulos, Larry Payne, Jasmine Lieb, Jillian Prasnky, Nevine Michaan, Abby Galvin and Kate Bovers and is an E-RYT 500 hour Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor and a Certified Katonah Yoga® Teacher.

Monique also holds a degree in Yoga Therapy from Loyola Marymount University and has a minor in Psychology from Iowa State University.  Monique was afforded an opportunity to complete her Ayurveda Wellness Certification at the Sivananda Ashram in Cu Chi, Vietnam, where she mentored with Durga Leela and obtained her Certification as an Ayurveda & Yoga Wellness Counselor by the American Institute of Vedic Studies, Founded and Directed by Dr. David Frawley.  

In 2013, she lived in Bangalore, India where she taught yoga and meditation in a small village to children and adults with disabilities and traveled to Kerala, the original home of Ayurveda medicine, where she studied and experienced Ayurvedic treatments with many different masters and studied meditation and The Yoga Sutra’s of Patanjali in Sanskrit with Swami Shivablananda in Bangalore.

A practicing Yogi, for more than a decade, Monique’s unique method of teaching comes from an organically intuitive place, weaving together a blend of knowledge.  Her classes as well as one-on-one teachings focus on alignment, injury management, prevention and therapeutic techniques.

Drawing from studying the primal lineages of Iyengar, Ashtanga, Indra Devi and Deskichar, she works from a therapeutic and compassionate perspective, blending together modalities of Ayurveda, Yoga & Nutrition Wellness.

Specializing in the area of back, neck and foot rehabilitation, sports injuries, weight loss and stress, Monique has helped transform the lives of people around the world, helping individuals to strengthen, recover, repair and recreate themselves into a mobile, balanced and foundational framework.
